Bug fixes & improvements 🪲🛠️

We have fixed some bugs and released some improvements for you. Here's what has been released during the last 3 weeks:
Bug fixes:
  • First and last name display
    : We resolved an issue where the first and last name of a logged-in user were not showing properly. This information is now displayed correctly.
  • Document Scraper issue
    : We fixed an error with the Document Scraper that was causing an error message and preventing uploaded documents from being displayed. Documents now upload and display correctly without errors.
  • Saving Chat Widget changes
    : We fixed an issue where chat widget changes couldn’t be saved until the date format was changed. This has now been resolved, and you can save changes directly without extra steps.
  • Message concurrency issue
    : We resolved a bug where the messaging concurrency channel was closing before messages were handled, leading to incomplete message processing. This resulted in responses not always coming through. This issue has been fixed to ensure messages are always processed correctly.
  • Actions not deleted successfully
    : We fixed an issue where actions were not being successfully deleted when certain events occurred. Actions are now removed as expected.
  • Tab order in domain knowledge
    : We resolved an issue where the tabs in domain knowledge were displayed in the wrong order. The tabs are now properly organized.
  • Website visitor activity issue
    : We fixed a bug where website visitor activity was not being displayed. When seeing website visitor activity is turned on, in Conversations you can now view the active page of the end user in the chat widget as expected.
  • Action Warnings in Interactive Tester
    : If an Action fails to work (e.g. due to incorrect authentication), you'll now see a clear warning message in the Interactive Tester. This helps you identify and resolve issues more quickly during chatbot testing.
  • Legacy Widget: Conversation Previews Restored
    : We fixed the issue in the Legacy Widget where new conversations didn't show a preview or couldn't be opened. You can now view and open these conversations again without refreshing the conversations.
  • Zapier handover
    : The Zapier handover to agent or team is now working on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram again.
  • Handling large attachments
    : The chatbot will now respond only once to large images or documents, preventing any duplicate messages or confusion.
  • Conversation screen stability
    : We resolved an issue where the conversation screen would freeze if left open for too long. You no longer need to refresh your screen - everything will run smoothly.
  • Seamless closure Chat Widget
    : Closing a newly received message in the eye-catcher no longer causes the Chat Widget to immediately reopen. You can now dismiss messages without any interruptions.
  • Closing Chat Widget
    : When the chat widget is open, pressing ‘Enter’ to close it now works correctly, and it will not automatically reopen again.
Improvements:
  • Trigger placeholder in handoff
    : We updated the placeholder text for triggers in the Handoff to improve user experience. This change makes it easier to understand how to set-up triggers with.
  • Improved chatbot output quality
    : We improved the chatbot’s response quality based on data from scrapers. This improvement will result in more accurate and relevant answers, providing a better customer experience.

AI Search is back, Sources improved & bug fix 🪲

We're happily sharing our newest releases and bug fix with you:
AI Search
AI Search is back for all Business and Enterprise users. You can now have your chatbot search your website in realtime.
Grading sources
When using multiple sources, such as Web Scraper and Document Scraper, Watermelon now cross-checks the results between these sources. This improvement leads to more accurate and reliable responses from the chatbot, ensuring you get the best possible information every time.
Improved sources in Interactive Tester
The sources in the Interactive Tester have been improved and this feature is now out of BETA!
When a chatbot uses the Domain Knowledge to create its answer, this is no longer shown. The chatbot will use this in all answers.
Bug fix:
  • Welcome screen:
    When the welcome screen was activated, the chat widget did not update the amount of new messages after reading. This has now been fixed.'

Picqer Action template, sound notifications & bug fixes 💪🐛

We're happily sharing our newest release and bug fixes with you:
Picqer Action template:
We’ve added an Action template for Picqer, allowing you to easily integrate status information from your orders into your chatbot. Now, your chatbot can automatically provide customers with up-to-date order information when they ask for it.
Louder Sound notifications:
We’ve made the sound notifications louder, ensuring that you never miss an important message.
Bug fixes:
  • Logout Issue:
    We fixed an issue where users were automatically logged out after 10 minutes of sleep mode.
  • Forwarded Conversation Issue:
    We resolved a bug where picking up a forwarded conversation for the first time resulted in not seeing your own messages.
  • Super Admin Visibility
    : Super Admins will no longer appear in the list of agents to add to a team, preventing unnecessary confusion and ensuring proper team management.

Our developers have been working hard and released a bug fix and an interesting update for you.
Bug Fixed: Website Visitor Activity:
We resolved an issue where the website visitor activity was not displaying in Conversations. To show the website visitor activity, you can go to the settings of your chat widget, turn this feature off and on again and then, you can see the page where the end user is currently chatting from as expected.
Pulse Templates Update:
We updated the templates in Pulse, making it easier to use a template when creating a new chatbot.

    You can now choose to embed the Chat widget on any page, making it open on full screen.
  • Default Open Chat Widget:
    We have introduced an option in the chat widget settings to show the chat widget open by default. This means the chat will be readily available for users as soon as they visit your page, enhancing immediate engagement.

NEW:
  • Safety Filters in Pulse:
    We've added two additional safety filters, bringing the total to 7 filters. This ensures improved security and content moderation during conversations. These filters are: Hate Speech, Threatening Hate, Self harm, Sexual content, Minor Safety, Violence and Graphic Violence.
  • Support Agent Conversation Takeover:
    Support agents can now take over conversations from the chatbot.
BUG FIXES:
  • Document Upload Icon Issue
    : Fixed an issue where the icon would initially show above the title when uploading a document in the Document Scraper, then normalize after a few seconds.
  • Interactive Tester Link Formatting
    : Resolved an issue in the interactive tester where a space was added after a '?' in links. Links now shown and can be opened correctly.

  • Language-Specific Timestamps
    : Timestamps and days in the chat widget now display in the language set under Localize.
  • Chat Widget Placement
    : Fixed an issue where it was not always possible to place the chat widget on your website before making any changes in the chat widget settings.
  • Notifications Issue
    : Fixed an issue where email and browser notifications and sound for conversations handed off by the Pulse chatbot in the chat widget were not coming in. (It might be necessary to set-up your notification settings again and restart your browser.)

We fixed and optimised See the source in the interactive tester and re-released this feature. You can now see which link(s) and instruction(s) generated a specific answer.
Beta Feature: This feature is currently in beta. We want to improve it and would love to hear your thoughts. Please share your feedback via this form: Feedback Form.
Improvements
  • Instructions category deletion
    : It is now possible to delete the last category in Instructions even when the category is folded, without needing to scroll.
  • Preview welcome message in chat widget
    : When the welcome message is turned off in the chat widget, it will no longer be shown in the preview.
Fixes
  • Responses Interactive Tester:
    We resolved an issue in the interactive tester where the user did not receive an answer and saw the 'is thinking' message indefinitely.
  • Action deletion
    : We fixed an issue where users were unable to delete previously created actions.
  • Blocked input bar
    : We've resolved an issue where if you taken over a conversation with the chatbot, and it was not done typing yet, it would add itself back in the conversation. Now you will see the button to assign a conversation is disabled till the chatbot responded. We resolved an issue where taking over a conversation from the chatbot blocked the input bar.

WhatsApp migration
We successfully migrated from on-premise to Cloud hosting for WhatsApp. It's now possible to connect new WhatsApp numbers again, ensuring better reliability and scalability.
Note:
It's necessary to reconnect existing WhatsApp numbers. Please read the email you received regarding this to make sure you reconnect your existing WhatsApp numbers.
New:
  • Chatbot Reassignment Messages:
    When a conversation is (re)assigned to the chatbot, the appropriate preview message ('chatbot assigned') is now shown both in Conversations and in the chat widget. For the chat widget you can adjust the message that is displayed in the chat widget when a conversation is reassigned to the chatbot. You can do this at the 'Lokalize' tab.
  • Action Template Lightspeed:
    We introduced a template for the Lightspeed action, making it easier to integrate with Lightspeed and streamline your workflows.
  • OVIS Action Template
    : We created a template for the OVIS action, making it easier to integratie with OVIS and get information from the OVIS database.
Improvements & Fixes:
  • Action templates
    : We refactored existing action templates for better performance and usability.
  • Office Hours Statistics:
    We fixed an issue where office hours statistics were not loading properly. You can now access and review office hours statistics without any issues.
  • Conversation Count Update:
    We resolved an issue where the conversation count in 'Your inbox' was not always updated in real-time. Now, you no longer need to refresh to see the accurate count.
